| And the Winner Is... |

The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life. Proverbs 13:14a (NIV) [LINE]
One day in Sunday school, our teacher asked us to name the one person we felt was most Christ-like. Overwhelmingly, we voted for Chris, our youth pastor. When out teacher asked us why we chose Chris, we laughed. Perhaps we thought the reasons were obvious. By being open and honest, Cris has helped each of us to grow in faith. For example, he asks tough questions to challenge us to think about new ideas and to re-think old ones. When we ask Chris difficult questions, he gives practical advice and points out the truths in God's word. If he doesn't know the answer, he isn't ashamed to say, "I don't know." Chris is also humble enough to admit his own failures instead of trying to place blame on others. He doesn't feel as if he has to be perfect. On a personal level, Chris has helped me to explore my own morals and values, to discover my limitations, and to test my strengths. He has also encouraged me to live my Christian life openly in the world. I'm glad that I have a youth pastor with strong character. It' encouraging to see that people can really make a difference by living for Jesus. Hopefully, no matter what job I choose, I will be able to help others as Chris has helped me. [LINE]
